In 1958, the general aviation industry saw a resurgence of new mechanical engineering techniques and materials that drove aviation to the next level of engine performance.
The Beechcraft design engineers of the early aviation took advantage of these sweeping changes with their J35 Bonanza aircraft. Along with a stronger performance, the J35 Bonanza was also the first general aviation aircraft to feature a new fuel-injected engine.
Produced in 1958, the J35 Bonanza features a strengthened structure that supports a higher power engine, improved trim design, first ever autopilot feature and fuel injection on the Beechcraft 35-series model. The J35 is an improved model of the H35 with more features at an inexpensive price.
The J35 Bonanza features a fuel injected Continental IO-470-C engine, capable of up to 250 horsepower. The fuel injection provides for easier operation and better continuous power from the engine inflight.
Also the J35 features a rudimentary autopilot feature that many experienced pilots will find convenient, along with VFR operation instrument panels.
Along with this powerful engine, the wings and structural support inside the J35 architecture is much stronger than previous models. This adds weight and mass to the aircraft, which allows for more stable flight during heavy winds and turbulence.
New pilots just entering the hobby will find that the extra weight of the J35 Bonanza makes this aircraft easy to fly and easy to get used to.
Beechcraft airplanes are sure to deliver decades of experience. The J35 Bonanza is a wonderful addition to any aviator’s hangar for easy flying and inexpensive maintenance.
