S35 Beechcraft Bonanza.

Before the introduction of turbo charged general aviation aircraft engines, Beechcraft set the standard in the general aviation industry with aircraft power plants that could carry more passengers further with less fuel. The Beechcraft S35 Bonanza was one of the most powerful models in the general aviation industry before the advent of affordable turbo charged engines. With its 285 horsepower IO-520 engine, the S35 is a favorite of many general aviation hobbyists and professionals.

The S35 Bonanza was produced by Beechcraft in 1964 with many attractive options for pilots wanting a smaller, yet powerful, single engine aircraft. They began designing their aircraft with fully-forward facing seats in the S35 model.

Many passengers find this much more comfortable than rear-facing or side-facing seats. The plane also comes complete with a third cabin door and inner gear doors that reduce drag on the plane during flight.

The S35 can carry up to six passengers without luggage and a full tank of gas. It can comfortably carry four passengers with luggage and accommodates about 1,400 pounds of cargo as needed.

Also, the S35 comes with two fuel tank options- either a 50 gallon (standard) or a larger 80 gallon tank. The S35 Bonanza also comes with a much heavier mass, which many pilots enjoy due to the easier flight through winds and heavier landing.

The S35 Bonanza is an excellent single engine aircraft for pilots looking for both power and affordability. The S35 Bonanza is the general aviation industry’s classic “sports car” of aviation.
