Cessna Aircraft ..

Is Cessna Still The Aircraft To Buy?

Cessna came to life officially in 1927 when Clyde Cessna parted ways with the future founder of Beechcraft - Walter Beech.

The company had A LOT of problems with money and getting aircraft to market in the first number of years. And when WW1 hit, they had to shut down as the market dried up for personal aircraft.

It really wasn't untill 1948 and the release of the Cessna 170 that the company really took off. The 170 was an amazing aircraft for its time and was the future template for most of Cessna's aircraft that would come in the future years.

The company was also put on the map and became a world wide brand when they released the Cessna 150. It was really a ground breaking aircraft that changed the way flight training was done. From it's release in 1959 it was an instant hit that along with its sister aircraft (152) trained a whole generation of pilots.

The company is still breaking new ground with its efforts to dominate the Light Sport Aircraft market with it's release of the Cessna 162 Skycatcher. They have realized that this is the future of the market and have jumped in at the right time providing a great aircraft.

The nice thing about buying and owning a Cessna is the fact that so many mechanics have worked on them which makes it easy to find someone to fix it. As well, you have a lot of options when you need parts. That is always a big bonus.

If your looking to buy an aircraft, you still can't go wrong with investigating the Cessa line. They are really here to stay and are doing a great job at leading aviation into the future.
