If your considering buying a Piper Cherokee, your in for a real treat as they are a great airplane to own and fly. But with all the different models out there and the different years you can choose from, it can be tricky to find the right one that is for you. Make sure you try a few of the models out before picking one to buy. This sounds simple but very few people do it. You need to decide if you’re going to get the 140 or 300 or anything in between.
Find someone at your local airport to take you out in their Cherokee so you can see for yourself if you actually like that mode. Because once you buy it you’re stuck with it for a long time.
Secret #2:
Make sure you decide if the four seater is going to be enough for you at this time. Remember, a four seater is really a 3 seater plus luggage room. If you want the 6 seater to fly with more people then think about that option. The Cherokee 260 or 300 is a great airplane as well and does have the extra 2 seats in the back.
You never know when you might need those extra seats, so make sure you know which version your going to buy!
